I’ve never been there in person, but in my mind, a thousand times…..
Paris…the City of Light…
…or, as I put it in my art journal, City of Lights—see my little lights going across the pages? An attempt, anyway…
What a thrill to visit this beautiful city in my imagination, thanks to the lovely invitation from Anita…
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be able to wander the streets…just get lost?
I really do see a rosy hue surrounding the images in my mind when I think of Paris…”la vie en rose”, right?
Someday, perhaps, I’ll make it there. But, until then, I’ll be…
Thanks so much for joining me on my journey today…linking up to Castles, Crowns & Cottages’ “Paris—Simply Irresistible” Link Party…merci beaucuop, Anita!
Paris really IS always a good idea.
See you soon with something new…
Julie

Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteYour Paris is a vintage treat. I wonder how it really was in the 1800s - probably very
smelly :-)

Julie,
ReplyDeleteI am making the Paris rounds and you are my next stop! For someone who has never been to Paris (me neither)...I would say that you've done a great job of capturing the beauty! You are very creative and really LOVE that first image of yours!
I hope you have a lovely weekend...and hope to see you at my place.
I LOVE the fact that you captured these photographs yourself. What gorgeous shots and the angles are so interesting. LOVE the shot of the awnings & balconies. That scrollwork is amazing! And these are all in the first 2 hours of your tour! WOW!!!
Thanks for sharing. If you have a chance, please stop by my place for a visit. :)

Hi, Julie
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet blog! Your French journal is enchanting with the lights. I have never been to France either. I think the closest I have been to imagining I was there was when I read 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' what a masterpiece of a book! I think the first 14 pages in very fine print, tell in descriptive detail all about Paris. And as always, the book is better than any movie could ever be.
I am participating in Anita's Paris Party too!

How lovely Julie! I was in Paris as a small child, age 4, but of course I don't remember very much of that visit at all . . . and then we landed at De Gaulle airport once on our way down to the Dordogne. I have always wanted to go with Todd on a Paris weekend. Dreams can come true, so I am thinking perhaps one day soon we will. Love what you have created. Just beautiful as always! Lots of love and hugs coming your way!! xxoo
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, tell all your followers about the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Julie! My sweet husband has absolutely lost count on the times he has been to Paris, and you have exactly described it in your beautiful journal pages as it really is. It is the one place he always imagines us together! E
ReplyDeleteI've seen this "Paris invite" on Anita's blog , but the closest I will probably ever get to Paris....is the trip I had last summer to Ontariio, and we went to Old Montreal. IT itself was amazing.
ReplyDeleteEverything about Paris seems romantic doesn't it. You did a good job on your "city of lights" scrapbook pages.
You art is beautiful, dear Julie!!
ReplyDeleteI thank you so much for leaving a kind message on my post...what a blessing that dear Anita has joined us all together in such a fun way!
I will be following...love your inspiration. Merci, and have a Paris Pink day!

ReplyDeleteBonjour Julie!
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup for your sweet visit during this week of Paris partying! I am sorry to be so late getting here, but my internet is filled with the most horrible trolls!!! Your art journal and Mixed Media projects are so inspiring, and i thank you for sharing them with us. I taught Mixed Media and Art Journaling for years and wish I could get away from the computer long enough to get back to it. Your art work has me itching to get all glue-y again!! I'll be back to enjoy your art again!
Amitiés!
