More pages, filling fast…I just can’t stop!
Quotes and beautiful images found seem to be my fuel for this first {of many!} art journals…
A beautiful Victorian lady’s hand holding a fan…such lovely ephemera to be found--a spot left unglued at the top to hold a special message…
Charles Dickens is one who never fails to inspire me…
…and a bit of the hand-doodling I’ve always done coming in handy now…Flowers drawn freely around the border of vintage sheet music, then filled-in later with my pearlescent watercolors…perfect? Absolutely not! {and I wouldn’t have it any other way!}
And I’m having SO much fun working on my penmanship again…something I’ve loved to do since I was a child—but in these computer days, the skills with a pen get a little rusty, don’t they?!
Besides quotes and pretty found things, I’m finding spaces on pages to highlight some of my favorite of all things…and this time, Silhouettes…
Timeless beauty so simply created. A home hobby started in the 18th century to capture the image of family, friends & sweethearts—long before the ability to photograph the face of a loved one would arrive on the scene…
Two more pages filled…you can see the evidence of other pages before and after that I haven’t shared yet…Soon I’ll have to remove the pages from their spiral ties and find a new, more expandable binding—they need more space to grow!
I sure hope you think about giving art journaling a try…From page to page and doodle to doodle, you just never know what’s going to come out of you next--I really haven’t had this much fun in years!
See you soon with something new…
Julie
