Hello, dear friends!
I’ve been so excited to share the most beautiful packages I received this last week…yes, PACKAGES!…can’t even tell you how filled they were with amazing vintage goodness!
I was the lucky winner of the Junkin’ Gypsies Giveaway, launching their beautiful new shop…
Things packaged so carefully…with so much thought to presentation…
This beautiful wooden box held most of the loveliness…
I unwrapped and unwrapped…gift after fabulous gift…
Luscious seam binding, velvet bags, wooden bobbins wound with lovely lace…
…vintage jewelry…
…silverware, keys, tassels, vintage French books…a wonderfully tarnished silver pin cushion…
bottles of beads…charming ephemera…a gorgeous Russian scarf in deep purples, turquoises & pinks…
…a delicate old teacup, pearls & crystals…
…beautifully packaged glitters of all kinds…lace pieces…vintage mother-of-pearl buttons (my favorites!)…old coins..
Can you believe it all??? I know I’ve forgotten things…..every single bit of it made this Vintage Chic’s heart go pitter-patter!
{I used many of their photos, as they looked so much better than mine…!}
Please go and visit the ladies in their online shop…I know you’ll find some beauty there that you’ll love!
A little card I made to thank the Junkin’ Gypsies…Jill and Lemay…for this extraordinarily fabulous gift…
Another cloudy day today…there’s been far too many of them lately…makes for tough picture-taking! Oh, well…
One of my favorite images from Crafty Secrets’ “Girlfriends” Creative Scraps…
…the sentiment typed by me in a beautiful vintage-style font…exactly what I kept saying as I looked at the chest full of goodies!
My favorite type of ribbon—lovely, creamy seam binding—looped and typed in a billowy bow, topped with sweet vintage millinery flowers…
A piece of white lace colored to match, using “Crushed Shells” Glimmer Mist, and a background script stamp from Crafty Secrets’ “Artsy Banners” stamp set…another of my favorite things…
Layers and layers…just the way I like it! A bit wavy in spots, as I got just a BIT carried away spraying it all over with Glimmer Mist… “Crushed Shells”, once again…all the ripples just gives it more of a distressed, vintage look, right?!
Thank-you for visiting me today…and thank-you, Junkin’ Gypsies, for sharing such beauty with me…
See you soon with something new.
Julie
