Vintage Beauty

DSC05950_edited-1

Hello, my friends!

Just came back from yet ANOTHER family trip…more to tell you about later this week!

But for now, just a fun & simple layout to share with you…

I’ve been playing with a wonderful new kit from Vintage Street Market

Family Fun Paper Kit

…the “Family Fun Paper Kit”…

The page in the kit was so beautiful as it was, that I didn’t want to add or change too much…

…just added a copy of a beautiful photo of my great-grandmother, Estella (a true beauty all her life—inside and out…)

DSC05946_edited-1 {is any vintage portrait complete without a framing of Platinum Stickles?  I don’t think so!}

…added a little journaling tag from the kit, topped with her name and a few fabulous vintage buttons from my button stash…

…cut out and popped up additional images of the toiletries…

…and powder—had to glitter them up a bit, too, of course!

And that’s about it!

Sometimes a page—or a person—is perfect…just as it is!

Hope your day is wonderful…where will you find beauty today?

  2. Hi Julie,
What a pretty little paper line, I must check them out. Beautiful page, with your stunning great-grandmother. Funny, I remember my grandmother always had a powder compact in her purse. I used to love the smell of it, when opened. Have a fabulous day!

  6. This is absolutely gorgeous! What a great idea to use this fabulous Family Fun Paper Kit from Vintage Street Market for showcasing your great-grandmother. I just received this kit after winning it, and I can't wait to use it. I'm going to use one of the pages, Giddy Up, for my grandson which we call "Roo", short for Buckaroo.

I've been able to find some old pictures of my relatives on online historical pages, so this awesome kit will be a perfect way to show-off these pictures. I have some buttons from my grandmother which will be another perfect touch to complete these pages. Thanks so much for the inspiration for what will surely turn out to be a wonderful album .

  11. Julie, Your post on your mother's third year in school was so funny and sentimental. Imagine keeping so many artifacts! The coloring page is my very favorite. Can't wait to hear about another family trip! Elizabeth
