I love sweet forget-me-nots….always have.  Such a diminutive little flower, the forget-me-not…but they patiently sit there in my garden, just waiting to be noticed.  A blue like no other.

They just make me smile.  And remember…

A bit of journaling done to capture a few thoughts yesterday…

It brought to mind this dainty little vintage teacup I found at an antique shop years ago…I love it.

Think of Me cup_edited-1

Its kept by pictures of long-ago family members—a reminder that they don’t wish to be forgotten…

A new favorite quote by Roald Dahl captured on this page…

…illustrated by this beautiful vintage flower girl.  A border of “shine” all around her, just to help me remember the best way to look a bit lovelier…

Sweet thoughts journaled to help me keep in mind those things that are most important…

Wishing you the loveliest day…

That saying by Ronald Dahl is WONDERFUL

  2. Julie, I so enjoyed your pincushion post. They remind me of all the wonderful stories you have told us about your relatives. Forget-me-nots are a favorite flower of mine as well, and the beautiful quote from Dahl is one I remind my self of every day. What a beautiful page! Elizabeth

  3. Julie, your journal pages are beautiful! Love the colors, love the quotes!

  4. I just have to tell you that I enjoy visiting your blog so much! As a follower of your blog I had to jump over here so fast when i saw the flower FORGET ME NOT. It is absolutely my favourite, the blue colour is wonderful I think. And it has the same name, or meaning, in Norwegian "Forglem-meg-ei" Did you know that Roald Dahl was norwegian? Have a nice day!

  5. I do love forget me nots! I've heard they grow wild in Montana. We saw some in Vancouver that had yellow tulips growing up through them. It was gorgeous! Mimi

  12. hey Julie :) you vintagy pages are BEAUTIFUL...WOW...GORGEOUS . You are giving me such inspiration~ I also love your "ladies" below this post..You gave them a good home :)

  13. Such beautiful pages Julie and I too love forget me nots as they are our state flower and grow wild all over Alaska. Remember the blue Love in the Mist you had? I bought some seeds in the Spring and tried to grow them but they seemed to get crowded out by our large growing Alaska plants and didn't take off well so I'll try again next year on those for my blue garden putting them in an area with more room.

  14. This is one of my favorite pages that you've shown! Just gorgeous are and beautiful writing! I am always inspired when I visit you!

  15. Another beautiful journal page Julie! I am so in awe of you. I have done only one page in my journal so far. I enjoyed doing it, but don't want to ruin it, so am carefully thinking about a second one now. You always amaze me with all that you come up with! Love you oodles and oodles! xxoo

  16. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appearance. Iconverse all star must say you’ve done a fantastic job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Internet explorer. Exceptional Blog!
