Having a Little Fun

DSC09827_edited-1

Hello, my friends!

Just a little silliness to share with you today.  I actually hesitated showing you this side of me…

…the goofier, definitely more colorful…absolutely eccentric side of me.

But, then I thought—Why not?!  We all have different sides of ourselves to share, I think…

A little bit of whimsical musing into the future, brought on by this fabulous Victorian-age graphic…isn’t it wonderful?!

As I’m writing this, I’m reminded of a great quote I read this morning from a VERY goofy & eccentric person—actor/director Mel Brooks…

“If you’re quiet, you’re not living.  You’ve got to be noisy, colorful and lively!”

I think he’s right—some of the time!

The other, softer, quieter side of me will most likely come out to play next time…

Julie

  2. Absolutely no apology needed! You have a fun side and a PERSONALITY! There are times when I want to take the pulse of a person to find out, really, "Is there anybody in there?" If you don't let your child out, who will?

  9. I just love your journal pages, Julie. So fun! I'm still only thinking about doing it. I tried last Thursday to get one going and felt like everything I was doing was just not going the way I wanted it to so I gave up. Shall keep thinking and maybe one day actually get it going.

I was just saying to a friend the other day that our wild and crazy days are over and that the more subdued quiet gatherings we now have are so pleasurable.

    Have a great day! Tammy

  14. Hey pretty lady,

Thanks for commenting while I was down, it means a lot. I like this side of you, and I always suspected it was there......I mean you picked the bumble bee sculpt and he's pretty silly. Are these collages, cards or plaques?

    Hugs,
    Meri

  16. Julie, I am so enjoying your artistry. This journal is wonderful. I had to giggle at your Anna's doll post about the "eyes". The teeth would have me sleeping with my head under the covers! Such a lovely post, as always. Elizabeth
