Just a few more Valentines to share with you today…
Soon, we’ll be on to other things. Spring is almost here! But, for now…
…the things of the heart loom large…
Poets and authors chosen in my Valentine journal to express my thoughts much better than I could myself.
A few memories shared…
…sweet Valentine images from days gone by to illustrate my little book…
What fun I’ve had filling it’s pages. Many more to finish up next year.
And just a few more sweet Valentines from my tattered, old Valentine scrapbook from the 1930s…
…the aged manila paper is pretty fragile now. I take care in turning the large pages…
…but page after page of undimmed colors smile up at me. They seem like they might have been glued in place just yesterday…
…but they were not. A loving hand, however, kept them ever so carefully--long before they came into my hands, so that they could be enjoyed today…
…and they certainly are.
Sending oodles and oodles of loving thoughts your way--
Julie
These are GREAT!!!
ReplyDeleteI have had a ball looking at each one and studying the details.
Your Amaze Me :)
Precious Valentines!! Wishing you a sweet Valentine's Day! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteOh Julie I LOVE your Valentine Journal! And I read the post about your sweet Momma's dolls.... DARLING! And then Cambria. Be still my heart as I ADORE Cambria. That was one of the first places I went on the Central Coast & it captured my heart. Love to walk the beach there & look up at the wind blown pines on the hill as the road winds down into town. Eating Ollaberry Pie at Linn's, the shops are divine & of course when I saw the shop My Hearts Ease (that's the name of mine) I KNEW I WAS HOME IN MY HEART! Thanks for bringing all those memories back to me. Maybe we could hook up there this summer! And I love the treasures you found. Have a great week. HUGS!

ReplyDeleteYou're just my type ... I love that one! The old cards are just so lovely. Why don't they make such sweet cards like that anymore? "chiefly to say" ... brilliant! :) Hugs and blessings, Tammy
