Hello, my friends!
Oh, my! We’ve been gone again…this time, at a beach house for the week--I promise--that was our LAST summer trip!
We had such a lovely time with family--but I’m so happy to be home again, knowing that we’re here to stay for a while!
{fairy pendant I shared with you in my last post…image from “Mini-Vintage” Creative Scraps}
Well, it’s time once again for a wonderful challenge for the Crafty Secrets Design Team—this time, FAIRIES was our theme…just about my favorite thing!
First of all, here are a couple of little fairy projects I put together this weekend…
“You were born to fly”, it says…a perfect saying for this sweet little fairy from Crafty Secrets’ brand new “Born to Fly” stamp set…
…paper patterns printed from my computer using Crafty Secrets’ “Creating with Vintage Patterns” CD…
…just a bit of paper-piecing on the fairy—my favorite technique—with just a touch of pink for a little fairy glow on her cheeks…{LOTS of sparkle on the wings, too, of course!}
And next…
…another little cutie-pie from “Altered Fairies” Creative Scraps. The nest on the bingo image, as well as birdie, wings and eggs are found there, as well…
…the pretty blue & white print is from the “Creating with Vintage Patterns” CD…
…easy-peasy!
I also thought I’d share some of my favorite fairy projects done during this last year with you today…
Let’s start with some fabulous shadowbox cards designed by the amazing Vicki Chrisman…
I love the images on this card—all from “Love Mail” Creative Scraps—so many gorgeous images in this set!
And here we have images taken from “Altered Fairies” Creative Scraps as well as "Birds & Botanicals” Images & Journal Notes booklet…
…more images from “Altered Fairies”, with the center panel from the beautiful “Little Dolls” Images & Journal Notes booklet…
Now for some fun, silly little cards…
I just love this pouty fairy—what a little grump! She needed a crown, of course…maybe it will cheer her up eventually! {all elements from “Altered Fairy” Creative Scraps}
No grumpy fairy here! I love this sweet little birthday baby…sitting on top of her very own HIGHLY glittered cupcake! {“Altered Fairies” Creative Scraps}
…and last, but not least…a little badge I made for myself, using one of my very favorite of all the fairy images…this little fairy on the moon…I just LOVE her! {“Altered Fairies” Creative Scraps}
See that little pocket watch hanging from the moon?
“Follow after your Bliss”, it so wisely says……you know, I think I will…
I hope you’ll take a few minutes & visit the other girls on the Design Team—I promise you’ll find SO much to inspire you!
Julie Campbell—me!
See you soon with something new…
Julie
