Sweet May…

Oh, sweet May!  Is there another month more lovely?  Birds are happily singing, bees are busily buzzing, all is fresh and bright…

A month for flowers given to friends and loved ones…delightful baskets bursting with blooms…

Roses, violets, lily-of-the-valley…fragrances too sweet to forget…

…and one of the most lovely {to me, at least!}…

…delicate forget-me-nots…slight on fragrance, but full of beauty for the eye…

A little card made today in honor of May…

…a sweet new image from Crafty Secrets’ newly printed “Birds & Botanicals” Images & Journal Notes booklet…I just couldn’t wait to use this one!

A bit of machine stitching instead of adhesive to hold layers of thick cardstock together…my favorite feather stitch…

…a fat, triple bow made of sumptuous springtime blue seam binding…

…and a simple row of my favorite vintage mother-of-pearl buttons…

It’s not too late, you know!

Wish I could bring a basket to each of your doors…but I guess these will just have to do!

    Always love your cards Julie, but you already know that! finally I'm going to attempt to make a couple mothers day cards tonight. At least thats my plan. if I dont do well, I'll be heading to the card shop tomorrow!! wish me luck. first I have to find some images I like.. running off to google!

    All i can saw is WOW! How did you ever put that book together? It is incredible! It looks like you sticked so perfectly to make these layers. I love all the pretty pictures, too. May Day is such a pleasant holiday. I wish I had honored it more. Oh, well, next year and no one is even irritated because you forgot their May Day Basket!

    Love your beautiful card! I remember as a kid on May day picking flowers (the yellow dandelion kind) and putting them in a May Day basket for my mom. She loved those "flowers".

    well, since you couldn't bring me the flower basket, I am happy to at least look at the beauty of your cards and creations.
    I still haven't seen so much as a crocus around here...things are "barely" starting to green up......Oh so slowly.
    Thank goodness for my green house that I can go in and feel a little "loveliness" trying to grow.
