Good morning, friends!
Sorry I’ve not been around much this week….got a bit of a flu bug right after we got home, and I’m still a bit fuzzy-headed…
So today, some photos from our lovely trip down to San Diego…not many words…just some gorgeous scenery…
Beautiful Balboa Park at sunset…
Just look at all the gorgeous detail…!
I LOVE these old vintage lamp posts…
Some gorgeous purple bougainvillea on old arches…
My daughter, Annie…in a beautiful archway…
Gorgeous Deco architecture on every building…
My niece, Sophia…a little ballet on a beautiful outdoor Art Deco stage…
A gorgeous fountain in a peaceful courtyard…
Wouldn’t you love to climb up these beautiful old stairs to your soft bed at the end of the day…?
Sculpture of the legendary Spanish hero, El Cid…
Two of my girls…Annie and Sarah…in an arched adobe window overlooking Old Town San Diego…
And the next day…
…the beautiful beach in San Juan Capistrano…
Sarah’s ukelele…
Don’t you just love the silhouette of tall palm trees against the sunset?
Joyful children…what a wonderful day…
That’s a lot of photos! Thanks for sticking with me…now just a couple of shots of a card I made just before the “fuzziness” set in…
I’m sorry I can’t remember which wonderful site offered this sweet image…but thank-you!
Just some lace, ribbon, lots of glitter, of course! Buttons, Dazzling Diamonds…
“Believe in magic”…good advice, I think!
Hope you have a wonderfully magical day! I’ll see you soon with something new…
I love that park so beautiful! The girls with the arch is lovely and I sure wish I could jump like that, the older I get the I don't want to jump as when I come down it hurts my knees so much lol..(I can still jump in the water however at pool class)
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with the little fairy card.
I love Old Town in San Diego. the little shops are wonderful, the history is really interesting- and there are some great restaurants there, too!..I love that card! It's my favourite of yours, so far...

I think that MAGIC just about sums up your lovely time in San Diego! LOVE the beach shots of the kids. You should blow that up on an extra large canvas. Just saw that idea in Country Living recently and I'm planning to do something similar once I get the right shot. Have a great weekend, Julie! xx Suzanne

I'm the only one in my family who has been to San Diego. We always take our vacations out of state and I went to an educational conference there many years ago. We have vowed to see more of California, especially since Baby Bee is going into 4th grade - the all important California history grade. (Can you tell my degree was in history? I love it!)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of loving things - I love your photos. You have a wonderful eye - no surprise considering how beautifully you put a card together.
Glad you're feeling better. My brother and sister-in-law had something similar after the holiday weekend.
beautiful photo's and I love your new cards. Sure hope you get to feeling better very soon :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, I love the late beach photos of the children, we used to go to the beach later in the day because our Mom is so fair she could not be out in the Sun, so we would stay until dusk, such fond memories. Hugs, Diane
