Can you believe September has come and gone already?
A couple of cute little witches to welcome us into October…
Layers of fall color and patterns--
And my new favorite toy:
Lovely, old sealing wax—I’ve always loved the style of it. Love seeing it used in my favorite period films to seal a love letter…now giving a little texture to my projects.
And a bit of journaling to preserve a few found leaves…
Layers of iridescent of watercolor in autumn hues as background…a bit of torn patterned paper, a stamp or two…
…and some beautiful leaves found on a family drive up in the canyons of Utah last week while visiting my parents…
What a lovely way to remember a perfectly beautiful day with the ones I love…
And a beautiful quote from Emily Bronte—how perfect is this? Just how I felt in the crisp, mountain air that afternoon—watching the bright, colorful leaves as they swirled down from the maple trees all around me…
Isn’t Mother Nature amazing? This leaf really caught my eye—so much so that I just plucked it right off a willing tree.
Wishing you a beautiful autumn day……………………….

Lucky you...I live in Highland, just minutes from the Alpine Loop and I haven't been up the canyon yet this fall. I am so glad you enjoyed your visit. I love living here...I never want to leave. =D
ReplyDeleteAdorable little witches, so glad their not scary! ;)

Julie how clever...just love your stuff in all seasons!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely are your leaf pages. Could you please comment and tell us how you have preserved them and attached them to your paper?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun 'new' idea to use sealing was on cards!
How nice that you were able to go home for a visit in time to see the leaves.
I live in Murray and we used to always go up thru the Alpine Loop in the fall but the altitude has become to much for us now. How lucky I am to live in this beautiful area at the foot of the Wasatch mountains
We are at Bear lake for a few days and the news says that Logan canyon is gorgeous right now so will travel home that way. The change of leaves at the lake here started in August and they are all but gone now.
I do enjoy all your post, thanks so much
Ronny
Hi, Ronny! You're so lucky to live where you do! Enjoy the rest of the season for me...
ReplyDeleteFor you and Viv (and anyone else!) I just glued the leaves in place after I painted the pages, then covered both pages with a nice, thick layer of Mod Podge--that's it! They should stay nicely preserved that way.
Julie
Cute witches and your journal pages are fab!
