“I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book!”
--Jane Austen
Pages and pages I’ve loved through my life…
…time spent remembering and re-visiting favorite books and authors, characters and places…
It’s a hard thing, to distill into two smallish journaling pages the dearest books read—and some re-read—throughout my life…
…what wonders await me on pages yet unread???
Well, I’m off on another adventure—a week in the redwoods with my daughters…and about 150 other women and girls! Leaving my poor husband at home to enjoy all the comforts alone…
I’ll be back next week—hundreds of mosquito bites the richer, I’m quite sure! Wonder if I’ll have any time to read while I’m away…..?
“…but for my own part, if a book is well written, I always find it too short.”
--Jane Austen
Oh I love the redwoods. The smells of the CA forests are wonderful. Here in Alaska we don't have smells like that as it's alway so cool, even the beach has little smell. Right now I do smell a lot of the wild plants in bloom however. Hope you really enjoy your trip. Nan

Julie, These are such lovely pages. I love to read books as well and treasure many of the same favorites as you. It's fun to see them listed all together. PS TSG and Joe will be traveling to Lake Tahoe for their one year wedding anniversary. Are there some sights there you perhaps know about they should not miss? What a beautiful state you live in! Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteHave fun my friend...I love my summers..that is when I get all my fun reading done. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the lost art of reading books! So many people nowadays choose to divert their attention to a digital lifestyle. There is nothing quite like reading a book cover to cover, and revisiting it many years later. You have a fine taste in reading material. Hope you enjoy your lovely time away, surrounded by nature and loved ones.
