Hello, my friends!
Just a little bit of playing with my vintage silverware stash this last week—had so much fun with these!
One of my old, chippy & much mended estate sale teapots graciously stands in to prop up my spoons today…
First, a little Alice in Wonderland…
{all images on the Alice spoon—watch, tag, and main image are found in Crafty Secrets’ “Wonderland Tea” Creative Scraps}
…a bit of a Mad Hatter tea party going on with this one…
…a very liberal “sugar” coating of chunky, clear German glass glitter…I LOVE this stuff!
{don’t you just love the detail on these old silver pieces?}
My very own jewel made with glassy glaze & some lovely aqua glitter on top of an old bronzy button…
{key is from the Tim Holtz collection}
…a few Alice inspired items top it off—a key, of course—“Journey”, it says…perfect for Alice’s fall down the rabbit hole, don’t you think?!
A “Drink Me” tag and a couple of pretty glass beads finish it off…
…and I just couldn’t leave this fabulous pocket watch out of the mix, of course!
And next…
{the main image and image behind the jeweled piece are found in Crafty Secrets’ “Girlfriends” Creative Scraps}
…a bit more sophistication with this one…vintage fashion in a spoon…why not?!
These lovely ladies are sporting the height of fashion from the 1930’s…beautiful!
A few charming charms grace this spoon…a gorgeous vintage button and a brass ruler sit atop a jeweled bezel surrounded by Platinum Stickles…
And that’s about it…I don’t think I’ll EVER be able to pass by a pile of old silver flatware again! I’ve got some fun knives in the works that I’ll share with you soon…
So glad you stopped by! Hope your day is beautiful in every way…
Julie
