Dwell in Possibilities

DSC04974_edited-1

The world is full of possibilities!  I’ve been thinking so much about what life holds in the future…

My three daughters’ lives are all transitioning, and will all too soon leave the nest…

DSC04987_edited-1

Whatever will my husband and I do when that nest is empty?  Not sure I’m quite ready for that…but I know there will be so many adventures ahead!

Traveling, developing skills I’ve wanted to work on, reading, writing (I’ve always secretly wanted to be a poet!)…so many possibilities………………………………………………………………

…I know life will always be filled with wonderful things…but for today, I’m going to enjoy just being home…and having all three of my daughters around me.

…and that, to me, is one of the greatest adventures of all.

In the Corners

DSC04943_edited-1

Corners are tiny little places.  Sometimes we don’t even notice them…but great and good things can happen in small places…

 DSC04935_edited-1

…the corners of the home, where there is peace, where there is love.  It makes a difference in the lives of all that live there.

Hope that grows in the tiny corners of the heart.  It makes you strong—it gives you joy—but it happens quietly in those tiny corners…

Doing good for others in the corners of the world in which you live.  You may not think it’s doing any good for the world at large, but trust me, it is.

Thank-you for doing good in your tiny corners…..I feel it.

Journal Love

DSC04921_edited-1

I love art journaling—no surprise to you, I realize!  There’s something so satisfying about the assembling of a page—just having fun—with no idea, most of the time, what it’s ultimate purpose will be…

DSC04909_edited-1

I love using vintage ladies and antique china dolls to illustrate my thoughts.  I don’t know why—they just make me happy.  I’ll often hold up a page to my daughters and ask, “What does she want to say?”  Sometimes I just already know…

Using old book pages is so very wonderful.  The texture, the type, the way the paper absorbs your ink—everything about it is different from modern paper…and I love it.

The using of wise words found in the writings of others that have gone before me makes me happy.  As I look through my completed journals, their words remind me of things that were important to me that particular day—things that I know I need to improve on in my life…

DSC04930_edited-1

We all need little reminders as we go throughout our days, don’t we?!

Keeping these journals helps me to do just that…

DSC04932_edited-1

…while enjoying a happy, inky, gluey, painty mess all at the same time!

See you soon with something new.
