Me, Myself & I

It’s hard to write about myself.  To have the camera aimed my way.  I’m usually the one behind the camera—capturing the lives of those I love the very most…

…but sometimes it’s good I think to let others aim the camera my way.  To have to take a look at myself—be a little bit objective….

…to capture a moment or two at different moments in my life.  If I don’t do that every once in a while, how will those that come after me ever learn about me—see me?

 

So, once in a while, I’ll put my camera down & let myself be captured.  Let my guard down.  Let my future loved ones see me as I really am.  It isn’t that bad, really--

--especially when those moments of me, myself & I are captured when I’m surrounded by the ones I love.

Let yourself be captured today.

Clear Your Mind

Life gives us lots to think about, doesn’t it?  It’s easy to worry about so very many things from day to day…..

 

It’s good to remember, I think, to slow down.  Listen….

 

…to just be still.

 

To try not to listen to all the negative.  The confusion.  The noise.  The worry…..

To, instead, turn it around….and be calm.

Be a little more gentle.  Be a little more loving.  Take away the cares of someone else. 

Small things--little by little--might make us all just a little more happy.

 

See you soon with something new…

We’ve been out-of-town for almost a week again.  Again.  So many trips since June….

So many wonderful experiences, so many beautiful places, so many beloved people we’ve been able to spend time with…

 

…so many blessings along the way…

…but SO very happy to be home at last!

A few new journal pages worked on during the last few weeks when I had some time…

This one’s my favorite….can you guess why?!

I love the magazine page background for this—the richness of the color is so much fun behind my sweet vintage girl in black & white…heart in hand expressing exactly how I’m feeling right now…

A few sweet memories tucked away.  Just waiting to be pulled out whenever I may need them…

Having fun here with a couple of new punches I found while out-of-town earlier this summer in an Archivers store.  Sure wish we had one in my state—no luck there, yet!

{in a Moleskine journal, covering a page with Kraft paper every once in a while makes the journal a bit sturdier}

So even though travel is wonderfully fun, here’s to beautiful autumn…time at home.  Cozy fires, baking, quiet time with the family…

…but mostly just being home.
